CAVEATS FOR USERS OUTSIDE THE USA

 

This triangle software is based on the USDA definitions of textural classes. Comma-delimited files in some countries actually are semicolon-delimited, because commas are used to separate the decimal part of a real number.  If you plan to import the output file of TRIANGLE.EXE to a spreadsheet, you may have to search-and-replace commas with semicolons:

1.  Open output file SOILCLAS.CSV with a text editor such as Wordpad, Q-edit, etc.

2.  Search for commas and replace with semicolons.

3.  Save the file with the same name.

4.  Open the file from within a spreadsheet program.

INFORMATION FOR USERS OF THE GREEK VERSION

To display the error messages in Greek, you may need to change the font that Windows uses to display error messages. These are the steps for the Windows 98 operating system:

Start menu -> Control Panel -> Display -> Appearance -> click on Message Box -> change font to a Greek font such as Arial (Greek) -> click on Message Text -> change font to a Greek font such as Arial (Greek) -> Apply -> OK
